Review
This is official description applies to version 3.4
Engine Analyzer is a Computer Program for Engine Builders and Engineers to Simulate, Predict and Analyze Stock or Race Engine Dynamometer (dyno) Performance. The Engine Analyzer lets you simulate an engine build-up or modification on your personal computer. It let's you play "what if" with cams, Heads, intakes, Superchargers, etc. and see the effect on torque, HP, fuel flow, air flow, valve toss or lifter pump-up, idle vacuum, cranking compression, spark knock, etc. "Its like having a dynamometer right in your computer." The Engine Analyzer will help you predict and understand how your engine makes power with various combinations of parts. For example, you will see trade-offs between low speed torque and top end HP for different cams, turbo sizes, port or header sizes, etc. You can save time and money by installing the right parts the first time.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 3.2
Engine Analyzer is great software that might be really interesting for all fans of extreme drive racings. It allows you creating models of engines and simulating their work right on your computer. The program helps in better understanding of engine work and increasing quality of its’ performance by different modifications. Interface of Engine Analyzer might seem a little bit complicated at the first look, but you can find answers on all your questions in detailed help section. Also you can activate special beginner mode that allows working only with essential functional elements hiding more complicated features for better understanding. The application gives user all statistics about engine work. It includes over 80 ready engine models that can be easily loaded. The application saves all logs about user activities. It has very low system requirements and doesn’t need a lot of free space on your hard drive. The application is shareware. You can download its’ trial version from developers’ home page. What's new in version 3.4
General Operation: - The program now requires you to 'Allow' it to run in Vista and Windows 7 (same as right click on desktop icon, then select 'Run As Administrator'). This should make the program more Vista and Windows 7 compatible. - You can now save a graphics picture file with engine data, which could be a picture of your car or engine. This picture appears on the main screen, and can be printed out with graphs and reports, or just separately from the main screen. |
